    Thanks to everyone that stopped by the Black Falcon Fabrication booth on Saturday September 15th. Anna and I had a great time visiting and answering questions throughout the day. We sold a few things too which is always a good thing! Special thanks to those that made a purchase.

Tall 2 Door

Standing nearly 40 inches tall this storage cabinet will make a bold statement in any room. Small details are everywhere on these piece. From the hammered straps across the door stops to the hand stamped hinges there is something to see at every corner. Inside you will find two adjustable shelves constructed of steel and a bottom shelf made from salvaged barn wood. Outside the beaded steel sides have the perfect amount of patina sealed with a flat clear coat.  The top has more barn wood surrounded by sturdy steel angle with silicone bronze welded corners.

Free Standing Letters

These free standing letters are a fun way to display your initials or to add just the right word to a room. "Eat" works great in the kitchen and words like "Smile", "Laugh" and "Love" are perfect for the family room and other parts of the house. Made from 16 gauge steel and measuring about 11 inches tall the letters can be left raw as they are or you can paint them the color of your choice.

Library Cabinet

Antique barn wood and steel are combined again in the construction of this library cabinet. The beaded steel sides were plug welded with silicone bronze leaving just a hint of brass at each weld. The corners of the cabinet top received the same weld technique and were ground smooth adding just the right amount of detail. The original faced barn boards that make up the top and shelves were lightly sanded and then polished with a colored wax.

This style of cabinet can be built in different widths and heights to fit your needs.

Twins

     These twin end tables were a custom order recently completed for the owners of the file cabinet that was featured a few posts back. The features include tempered glass tops with a steel frame work and arched sheet metal sides. The sides have rolled bead work and hand hammered dimples. This pair of tables measure 15" square and stand 18" tall. Custom built sizes are always available, email me for a quote.

Recycled and Repurposed

      The title of Recycled and Repurposed fits this table perfectly. The legs once climbed toward the top of   a silo while the shelves and table top covered the side of a barn. Standing 35 1/4 " tall, 23 3/4 " wide and 46 3/8 " long this table would be a great  kitchen island or could be used as a TV stand with storage for DVDs or books underneath.

    All of the steel components were treated with a black stain that allows the patina to show through. The barn wood was lightly sanded then a colored wax was hand applied. Once the wax was dry the wood was polished to a nice shine allowing the saw marks and aged beauty to stand out.

   Other details include adjustable flange feet that have screw heads so it appears the table is fastened to the floor. The feet also have felt pads to lessen the worry of scratching hardwood or other flooring. Keeping with the vintage feel, square nuts hold the table top to the legs.

        Got files? Need a place to store those files? Want something with more style than you would find at a retail office supply store? Look no further. This cabinet was a custom order and is spoken for but I can build one to fit your specific needs.

       Measuring in at 33" tall, 25" deep and 20" wide the cabinet pictured is constructed with a 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" angle frame and a 16 gauge sheet metal skin. The two drawers are also 16 gauge. They feature hemmed edges and removable file racks. Each drawer and the inside of the cabinet is finished in silver hammer tone leaving a bright, durable finish. The outside of the cabinet has a hand rubbed black stain applied.
